About Us

Joy Cometh In The Morning LLC. Was founded in 2010 by Faye Newsome in Newark, NJ. It was later purchased by her daughter in 2017.

We are a Social Adult Day Center that solves the common problem of senior  depression and isolation.

We provide services to in and individuals with difficulties ranging from Dementia, limited mobility to intellectual and developmental disabilities. We also provide Day Habilitation services to help individuals achieve satisfying and rewarding connections and relationships within the community.

Each participant has an individualized care plan prepared for him/her at the center. Participants also receive the added benefit of socializing with their peers in a nurturing and joyful environment.

We provide fun activities that can range from bingo to brain games, all of which are designed to keep participants involved and stimulated, regardless of any conditions the participant may have.

Our Day Habilitation services are flexible and can be provided almost anywhere within the community an individual wishes to learn new skills. It is a person-centered program and focuses on becoming independent in day-to-day, non-vocational, personal skills. Our program also provides other services and support, such as a nutritious breakfast and lunch as well as transportation.

In addition to addressing the individual's needs for assistance in activities of daily living, our program provides a secure environment and therapeutic activities aimed at helping participants to achieve optimal physical and mental/cognitive functioning. Our services also improve the quality of life by reducing social isolation, and increasing social and community engagement. By doing such, we prevent or delay further deterioration and the need for more expensive services. In addition to improving quality of life for developmental disabled individuals, our services also improve quality of life for informal caregivers by providing temporary respite from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities and providing them with a feeling of confidence that their loved one is in a safe and happy environment.
